How to Organize Under Your Bathroom Sink

The cabinet under a bathroom sink is one of the most awkward storage spaces in a home. Pipes cut through the middle, the space is often shallow, and items pushed to the back tend to get forgotten. A little bit of structure makes this space far more usable.

Work around the plumbing, not against it

Rather than trying to fit large bins around pipes, look for narrower or adjustable organizers that can be arranged on either side of the plumbing. This uses the space more efficiently than one large bin that has to be squeezed in.

Use a rotating organizer for frequently used items

A rotating bathroom organizer is especially useful under a sink because it eliminates the need to move items out of the way to reach something in the back. A simple spin brings whatever you need to the front.

Add storage to the cabinet door

The inside of the cabinet door is usually empty space. A small over-the-door style organizer or adhesive hooks can hold hair tools, cleaning gloves, or extra toiletries without taking up shelf space.

Group by category

Keep cleaning supplies, extra toiletries, and hair/skincare products in separate bins. This makes it much faster to find what you need and easier to notice when something is running low.

Under-sink storage will probably never be spacious, but with the right combination of organizers it can go from a forgotten junk drawer to one of the more functional spots in the bathroom.
